80 local masters swimmers participated in the Inaugural Colorado Swimming Hall of Fame Pentathlon & 2.4-mile Ironman Swim on Saturday: Proceeds of the meet will go toward establishing The Hall. The facility worked out great; a throw-back to those high school swimming days.
Our appreciation goes out to hosts Boulder Aquatic Masters (BAM) for sponsoring the event.
Special thanks to Stan Benson, Ameriprize Financial, for hosting the “After Party” lunch catered by master’s swimmer Chris O’Sullivan (the owner of Brother’s Bar-B-Que). The free lunch at the end of the Pentathlon was excellent, and it gave everyone the chance to mingle.
A big shout out to the George Washington High School Girl’s Team for being excellent timers, counters, and hosts. The meet was really fun, it was a great cause, and we hope to put the Pentathlon (and Ironman) back on the annual master’s calendar.

Next year, we need to get more Swim Dogs into the meet. It was REALLY fun and a great way to track your progress in the pool. Only accomplished master's swimmer Teri Moen competed from our team.
